Founded in 1887 and have played at their current ground Molineux since 1889, they were founder members of the football league. Wolves golden years were between 1949 and 1960 when they won the FA Cup twice and the League three times.
In 1972 saw the 1st ever UEFA Cup final in which Wolverhampton Wanderers lost 3-2 to Tottenham Hotspurs in the final, this final was a two-legged affair.
